Someone posted a quote from a doctor on Facebook that says that we no longer eat real food, but food-like products. That sort of stuck in my mind as we will be moving to our house in Pennsylvania for at least part-time in about a year and am a little anxious about where I will find good, unadulterated meats, fish, poultry and vegetables. Sometimes ignorance can be bliss!
Scallions do grow back!
In the refrigerator today, you’ll love this Frugal, I had some left over veal broth from maultaschen, 1 cooked quail and 3 fried rabbit legs. I put the quail and legs in the broth with onion, carrot, bay leaf, fresh thyme, salt and pepper, then boiled until the meat began to fall off the bone. I removed the meat from the bone, then put it back into the pot with some potatoes. After about 20 minutes, I added some green beans until they were just cooked. Then I practiced the accordion.
