Carambola, Blueberry and Pomegranate Salad

I like carambola (starfruit), blueberries, pomegranate and mache.  They were all in the market, so I bought them, made a salad and ate it.  With poppy seed dressing.  Because I deserve it.  Roger would want to know.

Poppy Seed Dressing

1/3 cup white sugar

1/2 cup vinegar

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp onion juice

1 cup sunflower oil

1 tbsp poppy seeds

In a blender, blend the sugar, vinegar, salt, mustard and onion juice together.  With the motor running, add the oil to the blender in a thin, steady stream, until incorporated.  Pour into a bowl and add the poppy seeds.  Serve with fruit salad.

    The fruit reminds me of “Winky Dink” but ate them anyway.
