Citrus Glazed Duck Fillets

This glaze was created around Rose’s lemon-lime marmalade because I’ve wanted to do something with the marmalade since I discovered it at the Intermarche.  The Intermarche has the best stocked foreign food section in town, including many products from Britain, the U.S., Portugal and the Middle East.  Pity their fresh items are not so fresh.

Citrus Glazed Duck Fillets

1 lb duck fillets

Salt and pepper

5 spice powder

1 tbsp butter

1 tsp cornstarch

1/2 tsp grainy mustard

1/2 cup orange juice

1/4 cup Rose’s lemon-lime marmalade

2 tbsp soy sauce

Chopped scallions

Brown the duck fillets in the butter, then remove to a heated serving plate.  Heat the remaining ingredients in a sauce pan, bring to a boil and simmer for 1 minute, stirring constantly.  Drizzle the sauce over the duck, sprinkle with scallions and serve.
